In the past few years, the Honeygain community has become larger than we could have ever expected. We are thrilled that up to this day, millions of users have found us, joined us, and helped us make the team’s main objective – to grow our users’ potential earnings – a reality.
User earnings depend on the balance of demand and supply. The demand increases when either Honeygain onboards new business clients, or Honeygain’s current clients trust the company with more traffic. The other side of the equation is supply – which keeps on growing thanks to our ever-increasing user community.
As of March 1st, 2021, we will separate our user community into two parts: Honeygain and Swarmbytes.
Honeygain will stay dedicated to household users with less than 10 devices on their accounts. As of now, they make up 99.99% of our community.
Swarmbytes was specially created for Honeygain’s large-scale users with 10+ IPs at their disposal. After passing the compliance check, we will offer Swarmbytes users the support of a personal Account Manager and a software suite to manage the infrastructure hassle-free.
The team of Honeygain is actively seeking for ways to grow user earnings. However, this can only be made possible by balancing the traffic supply and increasing the traffic demand with new business clients.
After a careful inspection and review of our current user base, we found a number of user accounts with hundreds or even thousands of devices connected. It’s difficult to explain how a single household user could obtain and have genuine consent for that many devices – moreover, these users impact the earnings for all Honeygainers by receiving a disproportional amount of the overall traffic.
By splitting the user communities, we’ll be able to improve traffic distribution. The overall goal is to ensure better potential earnings for Honeygain users and more stable income for Swarmbytes users due to a fixed rate per IP shared.
On top of that, the change will build more trust with new and existing business clients, as it will be easier to guarantee that we have genuine consent for all resources shared within the Honeygain network. And what do more business clients mean to you Honeygainers? That’s right – more traffic.
Nothing will change. You will remain a cool Honeygainer and continue to use the app to earn effortlessly – just like you did before.
On March 1st, 2021, the maximum number of gathering devices on a single Honeygain account will be limited to 10 devices. You can still have more than 10 devices connected, but the infrastructure will not use more than 10 concurrently active devices.
